So U mean all this delay to the mid of the 2012 is just due to the WS-13, thats why we are not able to get our JF-17 BlockII by this years end??.....okay....umm...thats good at least we will have our/China's own WS-13 ready by then and fully matured so we don't have to look at Russia for the engines stuff etc...I guess that will be great....

Because of India's intervention, the RD-93 deal with Russia did not go successfully, so China already decided to get prepared with WS-13 in order to make sure that the future JF-17 will not be restricted because of the reliance on the foreign engine.

I believe lot of discussion has happened on the topic. And keep on going on the same topic for months is waste of time and energy.

Simple thing is, the statement came out at a time of tensions and it was more meaningful as a strategic partnership statements compared to something in real.

2nd Batch of JF-17s will come after first one is completed and there are no emergency JF-17s coming, as there is no use for them.
