In countries like Canada the courts are independent so no matter how you pressure the ruling government, the courts simply would take the decision on it's own. (It's better not to antagonize the judges by trying to armtwist the government).

What you can do is try and pressure the US into retracting all those cases against her. Which is not gonna happen because China is trying for a trade deal.

China already detained couples of Canadians and sentence some to death, China won't back down, stop talking about western judicial system, I lived there and I know how it works, as long as you have money, no one can touch you and you can even get away with obvious murder, justice is only for rich people.

Yeah, it only means your laws are arbitrary and your court system works in tandem with CCP. Which is what Canada warns it's citizen of when traveling. China can fight the Canadian government all it wants, but all you should've done is hire a good lawyer and negotiate with US over Hwawei issue. That's how extradition works. If you have a serious case against you in my country and you are in Nepal you will get arrested and extradited to India.

She was arrested in Canada and by the Canadian police and of course China should go after Canada, that's the simple logic. Whoever broke Chinese laws will be arrested no matter where they are from.
