This is why there is a huge trust deficit amongst China’s neighbours in East Asia and across the West. Dangerous path taken imo which could sow the seeds for instability and undo the phenomenal successes China has achieved in a single generation. I do think the Chinese leadership needs a period of self reflection and look to address these issues in an inclusive and fair manner.

Instability there was, but not the result rather the cause of Chinese action. It is ironic to see how some can turn everything upside down in their agenda driven story.
