China has lost $60 billion annual business for occupying a piece of 60 sq km of barren land.

I don't think that China can recover its business back in India even if it vacates whole of Ladakh it is illegally occupying.

Wao! After losing territories at 3 places, losing scores of soldiers and earning global and domestic shame, look at what is making Indians "thump their chest" that China will lose $60 Billion from Indian trade. o_O So as per your posting, looks like its a fair deal already and Indians are feeling victorious! Just the way you think you won in Feb 2019!

:pop:

Most Indians think Chinese "food" means Hakka noodles, and gobi manchurian.

Many haven't heard of dim sums. Something like Peking Duck is out of their imagination.
Hakka noodles is nothing but stir fried noodles. I don't know how to say it in proper English. I don't know what "gobi manchurian" is. Never heard of it.

There's something called Indian Chinese food like you have American Chinese. There are ethnic Chinese settled in Chinatowns of India for 200-300 years. Mostly Cantonese but also Sichuan.

You can find plenty of Indian Chinese food in Singapore as well. Even in Hong Kong. Not sure about mainland China as have never seen it there. Have been to Shanghai, Guangdong, Shenzen.

Indians decided to make a video of a Chinese soldier captured, injured snd trapped under the shield of an indian soldiers while other Chinese solders were being pelted with stones. Then the indian soldiers decided to share it on the internet.

China retaliated by clubbing 20 Indian soldiers to death to make it an example for the entire Indian armed forces. They could've shot them but Chinese Army decided to teach the Indian Army a lesson.

It reminds of an incident in Falluja, Iraq when US soldiers were killed and their bodies were dragged in the open. The US military retaliated very viciously against the civilian Iraqi populous to make it an example.

Here, we can see China behaving like a true Superpower while India is seen as being punished like a failed third world country ruled by a Hindu Extremist Government.

whatever you say... you happy now?

India is too confident. They protested and boycotted Chinese goods during the conflict and thought it was an effective card to hurt China.

These are two sides of the same coin.

1. The conflict caused China to lose a $ 60 billion market, but it also helped China to be independent of the Indian market.

2. China has a market that consumes more than 1 billion people. The purchasing power of China's middle class is enormous, helping the Chinese economy grow even when it loses the US and EU markets.

China needs India and vice versa.
China doesn't want to lose the Indian market, but it doesn't care if that really happens. Because that doesn't affect China too much

Most of the $60 billion Indian market is smartphones, Android tablets, and electronic accessories including Wi-Fi routers. India cannot manufacture them domestically so it relies on Chinese imports.

No Indian will stop using Chinese smartphones anytime soon. So this call for a boycott is meaningless.
