Now, going back to the topic, our forces responded properly and escorted a foreign aircraft that had intruded into Japanese airspace. After being warned of its intrusion into Japan, the foreign craft was properly escorted out by JASDF F15's stationed in Okinawa.

I firmly believe in the national destiny for Japan is to cooperate with other enlightened powers to secure the stability of Asia-Pacific and the world.

Japan is a peaceful nation, but we are not afraid to defend what is rightfully ours, and also to defend our partners.

If history provides a lesson to those in the world, it is the knowledge of the tenacity and the absolute devotion Japan has to commit to a goal , and we are capable of humbling great powers in the region. I don't think no nation in this earth ever wants to have another war with Japan, as well as Japan wishes peace with all our partners.

But know this, ever single inch of sacred territory of the Land of the Rising Sun will remain under our control.

I see no problem with Japan countering China's ballistic ASMs with mobile versions of their own.

China will not do anything significant to Japan until they are no longer under the US nuclear umbrella, and certainly not while there is a base on Okinawa.

They may have shown their cards too early with their simultaneous and suddenly escalated disagreements with Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, and India. They could have played the "peaceful rise" card for another decade or so, which might have been a completely different situation. But now Japan is awake, the US is looking the other way with their buildup, and they are having the same type of renewed lust for national glory as Russia and China.

Hold on to your hats, folks.
