Pakistan government is working to improve the workforce’s skill needed for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s second phase. Government has decided to upgrade the capacity of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes all over Pakistan through transferring modern Chinese apparatus. Pakistan is competing with regional neighbours in increasing productivity of its medium-skilled labour. The targeted cities for this up-gradation are Bahawalpur, Jehlum, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Gwadar, Lasbela, Larkana, Hyderabad, Gilgit, and Mirpur. With Chinese Collaboration, students and trainer exchange programs are also likely to be launched under this project.
