indians don't compare themselves to china, china is surely ahead of us. we only say that if in a state of war we have the capability to face china successfully.

Being nothing like them doesn't mean they are not a threat.

Accept it - militarily we have gone past Pakistan and the gap is widening quantitatively and qualitatively with each passing day with India churning out multi-billion tenders every now and then, a booming defence industry on one hand a rival on the west who has to depend on soft loans for arms imports.

In a long term our only rival in Asia is China with whom we have some minor border disputes too.

^^^^ a war b/w India and China is not possible in current scenario... both have a lot to lose unlike some other south Asian nations who have nothing to lose.

Pakistan has long lost the ability to give a sustained fight to India like it once did in '65,'71 - a fact acknowledged by the pak minister recently.
