The new Captain America box office success: Of the $715m cross, $455m is in international market. of those $455m, only $39m is cross in China. LOL

Ok? and? The point I was trying to make was it was and still is a wildly popular movie all over the world. A movie that made a lot of box office $$$$$$ in and outside of America.

But if you want to take to the next level like Avatar and Titanic level, you need to stop bullshitting with the typical American superhero theme nonsense which is prevalent in Hollywood movie industry these days.

I understand what you're trying to convey. I don't agree with some of it, but I understand. As you said "People like to be entertain. That is the foremost important thing." and that's what it comes down to with movies.

As for Superhero movies, I happen to like most of them as many do. I'm looking forward to some of the upcoming releases like Avengers 2 and Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Not a Superhero movie, but also looking forward to the new Star Wars film.

Movies are propaganda, however innocuous the themes appear. It's good that Chinese movie-goers are increasingly shunning Hollywood offerings for domestic productions. American morality and ideals are corrupt and distasteful and it's only beneficial that Chinese public do not buy into US culture. China should embrace and celebrate Chinese morality and values, which to me have always been far superior to their Western counterparts.

Exactly. Nobody needs their morality as the two nations' culture originates from different historical experiences.

China needs to produce more good quality script-writers. The story is as much important as the way it is told.

I think I would almost be willing to sell my soul to make that happen. Every now and then, I will pull out my JLA/Avengers crossover comic from a few years back. Still get some chills watching the fight (even though I wish it would have;lasted a little longer) between Superman and Thor.
