According to Chinese Xinhua News, “Green Interstellar Flight" test was launched on June 17 in Shenzhen, four volunteers moved into the area of 370 square meters of enclosed cabin, to carry out a period of 180 days Controlled Ecological Life Support technology experimental verification test.

Till now Chinese movie directors may not be capable to make movies like "The Martian", "Star Wars" etc, but Chinese scientists are endeavored into the development of those technologies that one day will put our human onto the interstellar travel.

It has already been used on many Chinese islands in the South China Sea to grow vegetables for the soldiers. There are three Plantation Cabins in this 180 day enclosed experiment using this technology to test if it can support 4 people. Even this tech is not used in space, it has vast application in agriculture industry here on earth.
