Criticizing Dalai Lama's visit to Tawang an article by a Chinese Analyst published in the People's Daily China said that India is using Dalai Lama's visit to solve its territorial dispute with China.

Accusing the Indian government of using the Dalai Lama to push its own agenda China has once again warned that when the conflict gets sharper and sharper, the Chinese government will have to face it and solve it “in a way India has designed.”

The article said that India should not forget the earlier military clashes. "India may have forgotten the lesson of 1962, when its repeated provocation resulted in military clashes,...India is on wrong track again", said the analyst.

"When China was building pressure through incursions -- 1,040 times last year and 270 times this year besides incursions by helicopter -- to establish itself as a superpower, New Delhi was regrettably terming it as a media hype," BJP chief Rajnath Singh told a press conference here.


Claiming that a Chinese think tank had advised Beijing to split India into 25 to 30 pieces, he demanded a pro-active China policy to protect the sovereignty of the country.


While there was no Sino-India border dispute after the tripartite agreement between India, China and Britain leading to demarcation of McMohan line, it has surfaced now because of the "weak" policy of the Centre, he said.


"If China continues its hegemonistic policy, a 1962-like situation cannot be ruled out," the BJP chief said.

China will not be able to repeat 1962 now: Air Force Chief
New Delhi, Oct 1: Refusing to be drawn into a comparison between the armed forces of India and China, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal P V Naik, today assured that it would not be possible for the Chinese to repeat 1962 at the moment.

Air Chief Marshal Naik’s comment assumes significance in the wake of Communist China exhibiting its military might during its 60th anniversary celebrations in Tianamen Square on Thursday, as also the adverse reaction to alleged Chinese incursions into Indian territory.

Addressing his annual press conference ahead of the 77th Air Force Day, Air Chief Marshal Naik said: “ The IAF is not threat specific and we have decided to go with certain set of capability building in order to go into the future and help the country’s aspirations to grow.”


“Overall build up of capabilities is going on and I don’t think a repeat of 1962 is possible now,” said the Air Force Chief, adding that there is nothing to worry about China.

Both countries cannot afford to be aggressors on each other. Its only to Pakistan's interest. If you notice Pakistan always has been a scavenger country playing games when two heavy weights lock horns. Be it USA/USSR or India/China
