I wonder why the biggest druglord of all times was Colombian and he was not from another Latin America country (in the begining it was not a country productor of cocaine).

This have 2 folds

1.) Money, drug trade made a lot of money, it may not work if you have to use it on a legit way, but it will work if you were to use them as Black Budget

2.) Control, again, control the drug flow and you will be able to control all the drug user in a single country. It also makes your own government look good, I mean you can make fake bust and make it look like you are doing something to stop drug flow into the country.

Fentanyl, not coke, seems to be China's weapon of choice here.

Another way is that people don't realise illegal drug have quite a lot of power in controlling a country, can you name me a single country that does not have a any sort of illegal drug problem?? Even places like Singapore have them, which they are very tough on drug. So whoever control the flow of illegal drug, that is probably going to be able to control or curb a country.

That is what the CIA and the Government learn from those cartels selling narcotic inside US, US tried to fight it, but they can't then they realise it is something we all most likely cannot do anything about it, you may as well just control them.

Even China realises this now, DEA estimated 64% of the world of illegal Fentanyl or Precursor were illegally export from China (The other country being Vietnam and India) and most that reach US was imported either as a whole or by parts from China to Mexico (they didn't say the share, but it is estimated at around 90%) You have to have some kind of government connection to bring drugs in illegally from the place of origin, and 64% of world share usually mean this is systematic, it point out to what China is doing is like what the US is doing to Crack and Heroin back in the 80s.

Pretty sure the CIA get the black budget from the drug trade. American aren't stupid to pay dissents and saboteur in foreign country with traceable taxpayer money. There is reason why Afghan opium trade sky rocket when American invaded.

Previously, as long as you did not sell fentanyl in China, it would not be considered as drug trafficking. Therefore, Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises was produce fentanyl.

Now the production and export of fentanyl are considered as drug trafficking. Do you know what kind of punishment will be faced for drug trafficking in China?
