I find it hilarious that Bharots are commenting on the 'oppression' of Tibet considering the Kashmir issue over the decades. There have also been many insurgencies throughout the country's existence, and they still exist now.

Was that not out of Indian 'oppression' that drove them? One can argue forever over his side of the story and that similarly goes for the one causing the insurgency.

Have people suffered? Yes. Have people been killed? Yes.

The fact is that there have been far more insurgencies in India alone relative to China. In fact, more than anyone else in the neighborhood.

I mean what can I say, Bollywood and cricket are just some of the primary means to keep that country together.

Yes there are more insurgencies in india, but that does not mean we cannot morally support tibet.
ITs like pakistan killed thousands of muslims in east pakistan, but still it opposes muslim oppression in palestine and in other areas.

The number of insurgencies is less in china because of two points,'
1. A strict action by chinese ccp against insurgents (eg against xinjiang and tibet, tianmenn)
2. demographic invasion of han chinese in those areas, such a way that uighyurs and tibetans are now a minority in their own area.

The Problem is the type autonomy the Tenzin wants won't work.

Yes, you can't give autonomy to a province that still has unrest. Otherwise it will just reinforce the negative behaviour of some of those troublemakers.

Look at Hong Kong, we've got full autonomy now. We don't riot in the streets or burn ourselves, and we now have the right to make all our own decisions.

If the troublemakers really want autonomy, they should act more responsibly.

No Insurgency in Tienanmen(lol), Tibet Or Xinjiang. lol I'm Hui and I'm one of the minority groups I got han living in my Hometown the Hui Autonomous region and for the most part we have no problems and get along very well. One child Policy doesn't affect us or the Tibetians so they can increase their population. So using your logic I will Morally Support the Kashmiri People.

The East Pakistan issue was nothing but a result of the misinformed decisions made by Yaha Khan's regime. Bhutto got greedy and impatient.

And considering the flood of refugees coming from East Pakistan at the time (especially since India was facing a lot of problems at the time), coupled with a reckless PAF attack on Longewela, it was justified for India to interfere in that instant.

So we can admit that China is far more effective at tackling insurgencies than us South Asians? I actually do agree with that.
