China have added lot of infrastructure in recent years, and much of it is modern, so China might look more impressive on the surface, but there are aspects in which US is miles ahead.

Nevertheless, US need to get it act together and work on its aging infrastructure.

Tho I have affiinty for the Iranians and their people their government is a mix bag but our sponsor the Saudis has done more damage than what Iran could ever do

The US may be declining but its still beating as a superpower, the PRC is closing the gap but it will be about 20-25 years when see the results but the US will not only be getting smacked by the PRC but by more overt and indepedent regional and middle powers the days of picking one side like in the Cold War and in WOT era is over

The situation in the US is the opposite of China. China is pulling its citizens out of old undeveloped poor rural areas into newly developed richer urban areas. These rural areas lose their best people and end up looking abandoned.

The US is going the opposite route.
We are pulling people out of old cities into newly developed richer suburban areas. This leaves the cities without their best people and looking abandoned.

Considering the majority of the US now lives in suburbia; I think the guy in the video is looking in the wrong places for his definition of developed.

Dubai also has new skyscrapers. Doesnt mean its more developed than Norway or Switzerland. Skyline doesn't mean squat. America had skylines when China didn't even knew them.

Plus America is ahead by 95 % of most per capita indexes. Whats next? Mumbai has new buildings so its more developed than Germany?

That shows how ignorant you are about China, China's development is building small towns and villages into new cities, during the past 40 years China built most new towns and cities in the world. Relocation is only for those we live in the deserts, wastelands and deep mountains, which China has a lot due to her geography, the nearly inhabitable lands can't support the people living on it with a decent life. China moved people out of those places and turn them into national park and restore the fragile eco system there, in Chinse it is called 生态移民 Eco migration.

Chinese cities have more modern building, better roads and subway systems , bus and train service, so Chinese cities look more developed in infrastructure and city facilities, US in general is of course way ahead of China, China is still a developing country.

I think it comes down to Chinese government being heavy handed with criminals. I think people are geninuely scared of the authorities more than the criminals which also scares the shit out of anyone who has funny ideas.

China has historically had heavy handed policing. Since it's beginning! Criminals were shown no MERCY which is why the crime is so low.

The same thing with places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE etc etc. Criminals are scared for their lives and you won't see people stepping out of line due to the authorities heavy handed nature.

Example you don't wanna steal even an apple in a Tang dynasty open market place. The penalty will be extreme and maybe even capital punishment. Theft and small crimes was not tolerated. To put it short they don't play games.

I personally agree with this type of policing and the heavy handedness. Criminals have to know on before hand

Are you denying that there is any mass migration to newly built housing in cities in China? That the number of people in the rural countryside has remained constant because construction is coming to them vs them moving to new construction? That the people in these new high rise buildings are actually the people who were occupying the land where this new building now stands?

Villages and small towns turn into cities, that's a natural phenomenon and China just makes that process happen faster than other countries, that's it. Tens of millions of people from rural regions go to big cities to work due to higher pay scale, but China has Hukou system, they eventually have to go back, with the money they made in big cities, they turn small villages into new towns.
