What's new

China is already a Superpower

I'm not sure if a nation with a huge army, lots of factories is a developed nation, their per capita GDP is really low yet they are the 2nd most economic from whole ranks, atleast the Chinese are starting to advance in technology, secondly I don't think China becoming a superpower is a good idea, since it might result like Imperial Japan, expand like crazy (no offence japs or chinese) but we don't know yet what would China do if it was a superpower I hope it would kick america's *** to get their money back :D
nah just kidding but China is still a developing nation so it can't be called a superpower

That is certainly possible.

The Chinese leadership has ALWAYS maintained that China is a developing country. No where close to being a superpower, and all Chinese should know that.

Yes mate this is true that china is developing country . Though i am not big fan of china. But china possess great capability to even give shiver to some of those developed nations. It have all the capabilities to be called as one of rising super-power whether you measure it by economywise militarypower, education, infrastructure, planning, jobs what else a country should possess to be called as Super-power ?

Another of CPC propaganda. You don't become superpower with an annual per capita income of $5000:lol:

Why China rises and the US falls

America needs to really wake up and stop whining. It needs to fix the social political system and economic system. The only way to compete with China over the long term is to have its "EDUCATION" right. Education is the secret to China's long-term sustainable rise. Recently, America was shocked to see how much the American students are falling behind on science, math and writing, while Chinese students excel in those three on international tests. Many in the US realize the challenge but also quickly point out that those Chinese students were from the developed Shanghai area and they have more money and better facilities. Wrong!!! students in Shanghai or Beijing are known to be lousy students who perform a lot worse than those from poorer areas. They have much lower college entrance thresholds, and normally they cannot enter the top Chinese universities. This shows how wrong the US is: it looks at education only by money... while it is the will and love of knowledge that make a people worship education. See BBC Chinese School, or []. Education can make a turnaround within 10-20 years in a person's life, and within 20-50 years in a nation's lot.

America was in shock when it learned that China produced a stealth fighter, the fastest super-computer, longest highway system, longest high-speed rail system, ...all happened within a number of years since its reform started in 1979 when China was a lot worse than Ethiopia or Ecuador.

The US war criminals were not only shocked but frustrated so they blame the Chinese success in producing the fastest computer, in producing Hi tech telecommunication equipment, high speed bullet train etc on Chinese spying, intellectual property theft etc while the US itself has not even produced such things and while some of the inventions are solely Chinese as testified by patents and copyrights. Chinese are not only hard workers capable of working 24 hrs a day but they have brain just like White Western people, so they can also invent, create and think. Chinese are not sub human beings whose success are only due to currency manipulation and theft, Chinese are also human beings who can think and create by their own. Currency manipulation and theft are also done by the US and EU to save their economic interest. Considering Chinese only as robots whose success are due to cheating is only racism and arrogance on the part of the Western White people.

When a country exports 60% of GNP, it simply cannot become a superpower. The countries who import your products dictate the terms. Not only that in China's case, a trillion dollar of export cash is retained by the importers as hostage (US Treasury Bonds or similar instrument in Europe). The forgoing leaves China on paper, cash rich but as a matter of fact somebody else has your cash and there is no likelyhood that, that somebody is ready to return it to you on demand (and without war).

That leaves people in China only 40% of your GNP to share. That does not make them very prosperous.

Whatever cash returns to China from exports goes into building prestige projects like Olympics, airports, meglev trains, military hardware etc. These things hardly touch the lives of the 1.3 billion people.

What makes a superpower is acquisition of all the above prestige items and consumption of the bulk of the GNP internally. US became a superpowerr from 1933 to today and Europe has been for two centuries by consuming the bulk of goods and services internally and exporting some.

It is other way round in China.

Hence is long way off from becoming a superpower of any kind.
