China investing $32b in energy sector: Kh Asif

SIALKOT, Mar 29 (APP): Federal Defence, Water and Power Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Saturday said 2,000 megawatt electricity would be added to the national grid within three months. Addressing members of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he said, “We should use electricity judiciously and minimize use of air-conditioners to facilitate the entire country during peak hours.” The minister said that Chinese investors were investing $32 billion in power generation out of which $6 billion would be used on dual power transmission lines in the country.
