China's largest private equity firm, China Minsheng Investment (CMI), will invest tens of millions of dollars to develop local professional talent in support of Indonesia's growth, the company announced Monday.

CMI chair Dong Wenbiao said after visiting the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), a semi-official organization, that the "Belt and Road" fund for Indonesia, amounting to around 100 million yuan (US$16 million), will be invested over 10 years to increase the country's senior management and technical personnel.

Incorporated in Shanghai in May 2014 with a paid-in capital of 50 billion yuan (US$7.9 billion), CMI put forward a plan earlier this year to lead a group of Chinese private companies to invest 5 billion dollars in creating an industrial park in Indonesia.
