A CHINESE man has done nothing to allay fears of a zombie apocalypse, as he became the latest villain in the bizarre global face-eating narrative.
Dong, a bus driver, allegedly attacked a woman known as Du and gnawed on her face after an altercation in the street.
Dong was not high on bath salts, which were incorrectly linked to Rudy Eugene's brutal attack in Miami in May that brought face-eating to light.
But he was allegedly drunk as he confronted the woman in the street by jumping on her car and bashing her windshield.
He then tackled her to the ground and began chewing at her face.
Passers-by were unable to stop him but police eventually intervened.
It's been a strange month for zombie sceptics.
The United States' Centres for Disease Control and Prevention was forced to deny there was a zombie apocalypse after Eugene's attack on a homeless man, and a US student murdered and cannibalised his room-mate.
Since then, a woman was investigated in Missouri, US, for attacking and biting her neighbour, while a Swedish professor was charged for cutting off his wife's lips before eating them.
