No, Pakistan gauge, for the most part, uses the same standard as India which is a 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) gauge. China, Middle East, Europe and North America all uses the 1,435mm (4 ft 8½ in) standard gauge.

instead china wasting its money for air craft carriers to mantain trade security they should rather spent the money for infrastructure in russia and central asia to trade via rail ways.

Russia already has trans-Siberian rail and well developed, China don't want to spend more money for nothing, rather China is developing other alternative roads such:

Aircraft Carrier is to defense our eastern sea roads

Iran use standard gauge too, I hope the Kashgar-Gwadar rail gauge is standard so we can link eventually to Iran, turkey than Europe, this way we dont need to have cargo transfer. And that will benefit Pakistan also to have direct rail link to middle east.

I think the aircraft carrier hardly makes a dent on chinas 8 trillion and fast growing economy ans manufacuring prowess.

just small change in comparison to the other ex-soviet aircraft carrier refit!

we are doing both and the a/c is essential for our navy development!

The opening of Gwadar port give us an easy choice among the 3 routes. Pakistan is an important part of the whole system. Let Pakistan have parallel running of the 2 standards while gradually phasing into standard gauge in the long run.

its pointless going turkey route, russias route is more faster and more safer.

If china looks for other rail paths to Europe as I mentioned about is also for trade with other transit countries and not Europe itself.
