India is only a software outsourcing destination, not a creator.

Foxit, which is even better than Adobe in pdf rendering

wechat, has over 0.1 billion oversea users.

if you don't know clearmaster, check this:

Top Free in Android Apps - Android Apps on Google Play

this is only oversea downloading, coz it is banned in China, but still a lot of Chinese App ranks high here, if it is not banned, an overwhelming number of Chinese Apps will top the list.

---------------------------------

BTW, do you know IOE?
I: IBM (high-end server, very expensive)
O: oracle (database)
E: EMC (storage)
nearly all finance sectors, Internet companies have to use IOE Products
but Alibaba replaces IOE with its own solution, it creates an open source database called Oceanbase. it creates storage system and distributed system to operate on a clusters of ordinary cheap servers.
Alibaba can also help many Chinese banks remove IOE
and it has found a bank with its own solution without IOE
I suggest that Indian banks also use Alibaba solution, so that they can save a huge amount of money and get super performance

Most of the Indian Software industry is based around the Service Sector, i.e. providing custom made solutions for different business entities in various domains like Banking, Aviation, Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals, Consultancy etc.
As for example, a Chinese developer thinks of an app like WeChat as a business solution and builds one. Now, if there is an investor who thinks of a similar solution but does not have the resources or the technical know how to build one, he comes to one of the consultancy companies in India. It's a very huge market.
A better way to understand it will probably the Foxconn-Apple case. Apple is the brand, its their product. But it's Foxconn that provides the Engineering consultancy and manufactures it for Apple.

China also have many database, ERP, financial solution, industry solution companies. It also have companies similar to Infosys, Tata, like Neusoft, but the main customers are local market, Japan and Korea due to language barrier, so its revenue are not that big as India. But with the soaring wages of China which approaches Japan and Korea, oversea software and IT service outsourcing industry is declining, but local outsourcing is still booming.

That's great. I have worked with Chinese Software developers. In my experience, they are good at what they do.

You know a person is blowing hot air when he writes 100 Million as 0.1 Billion

Haha.. You just remind me of those series of almost unending discussions that we keep having on this.

See, for any change in your infrastructure or the solution that you are using, there are mainly three broad parameters :
1. Cost = Money
2. Effort = Money
3. Operability =Money
There are a lot of other factors too. So, you don't just create a solution just for the sake of creating it. Only it has to be better and has to solve an existing problem. When those criteria are met, then why not ?

performance, not just money
i repeat: performance!

do you know why Alibaba want to creates its own database? coz oracle, mysql, sqlserver can't deal with so huge amount of visits and data simultaneously!

do you know obama care?
they spend 0.8 billion US dollars for the medical care system which only serve 0.3 billion ppl, but it always gets problems.
In China, the railway system, which has to deal with 1.3 billion ppl's booking request. On spring festival, hundreds of millions of people book tickets at the same time, which is unbelievable in human history. Alibaba solution works fine.
You see the difference?

the chinese are amazing. our world is going to be dominated by Chinese made software.

thisis the first time I've heard about this foxit thing. I use SumatraPDF to read comics

Sumatra PDF - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

no, compared to the US, our IT is nothing, here we are just comparing with India coz in another thread, some Indian guys here simply brag their IT and knows little about China's IT.
Foxit pdf rendering technologies are used by google, microsoft, blabla coz they found that it renders better than Adobe

yeah I haven't noticed much India software. they seem like a middlemen in the IT business. they make cheap medicine though, which is just as important as IT crap.

Does India have to have such softwares now ?No!!!!!!!!!
In a country where PC and smart phone not popularized, sofeware is useless.

Performance translates into money. A non-performing solution is a poor earner. I kept my post short and precise, of course we can talk about it in lengths and volumes. And I have talked about the performance part in my previous post. Quoting from my previous post again, for you.

Indian companies are not majorly into android apps though apps like Hike are very popular. India is mainly into service sector, BPO and provides applications for business solutions.

Major softwares that come to my mind are Enterprise solutions (retail, banking, telecom, ecommerce) like Capillary, Peel Works, Wooqer, Sapience.

SMB, mid matket CRM, SSM like Framebench, Freshdesk, Kayako, MindTickle, Unmetric, Zoho.

Platform tools like Exotel, Knowlarity, Germinait, Browserstack, FusionCharts, Little Eye, Mobstac, Webengage, Wingify.
