China confirms nuclear deal with Pakistan

Does that help your ego?

It is not about the ego, if they were similar India would not have got NSG wavier in the first place. Remember India is the only exception since 1978 when Nuclear Non Proliferation become an International agenda.

Any agreement to supply nuclear reactors to Pakistan is illegal and against Nuclear Non Proliferation agenda. US and NSG will take note of this.

Sounds like, meray abba tumhain maza chakhaeingy.........OK........Remind us when they do so!

What happened to that US-india nuclear deal? I remember there was a big debate back then.

It is passed, and India became a de facto nuclear power. India now enjoys most of the benefits enjoyed by the recognized nuclear powers

US let the cat out of the bag when it granted a waiver to India.

Besides China is getting more and more powerful relative to the US and so will naturally care less and less what the US thinks.

Looks like you changed flags there SUPARCO

Salaam to all the Muslims,

:pakistan:

Do you mean I had one flag first originally and then two? I forgot to add another colon between the names of both the countries.

Salaam to all the Muslims.

Please also consider the following counter-points:

1. Our nukes are mostly indigenous. China has only helped with civil nuclear power and not military applications. China is also part of the NSG and will supply technology to Pakistan only around those controls.

2. The was of 1962 was over half a century ago. Since then, it is a changed world. Their bilateral trade has grown manifold and rising rapidly. These economic relations will ensure that the chances of another war are minimal.

3. China will surely rise as a superpower, but it does not necessarily follow we can piggyback on to that success. We have to make our own way with progress. Nobody else will do it for us.

4. Higher and deeper cliches aside, all we have is a few JF-17s with Russian engines and cobbled up electronic and weapons delivery systems. There are no J-10s and certainly no exotic machinery from China.

5. One day China will beat USA. But will we be around then if we do not solve our own mounting problems? Kaun jeeta hai teri zulf kay seher honay tak.

How cynical Agnus. But you are absolutely right about the multi-faceted problems Pakistan is facing. There is no foreign solution to our problems-it is a fact that the key to resolving our problems lies in our palm alone. No US, China or Turkey will come to our land to help us resolve our problems.

Here innocent people disappear only to be found in US prisons while at the same time we have had a great lack of success against terrorists who should have been annihilated in these years.

so we can't have a gas pipeline neither can we have nuclear reactors! Dams our leaders don't let us build! so what does the world want us to make energy from?

Please note that I was not being cynical, but simply being honest about what you have agreed with - that there is no foreign solution to our problems, and that the key to resolving our problems lies in our hands alone. Considering China as a sugar daddy is a huge mistake.
