China clears way for Xi Jinping to rule for life

How slow...

How many centuries, did it take to for US to become world superpower, after it first became a democracy.

How many decades did it take for Soviet union or 3rd Reich to become Superpowers, after they became autocracies/dictatorships.

US is still a superpower and will remain so for all foreseeable future, but where is Soviet union or 3rd Reich now?
If you think China is like Soviet Union that only shows how ignorant you are and if you say your predition will be verified next century, all living people now can't argue with you. You win.

.
Are at least some Chinese citizen protesting? I doubt the number would be more than a single digit in terms of % of the population.

I myself is one of them, but that doesn't make us being against the government.

Changing the outside packaging, does not change the core philosophy that governs the country.
At the heart of it, China is a totalitarian regime with one party rule and now even a dictatorship.

Same as Germany under Nazi rule or Soviet union under Stalin.

The absolute irony of demise of totalitarian states is, their demise is as sudden and as unpredictable as their rise.

So you might not have wait till next century.

What's your time frame for your beloved democratic family business India to rise to the top and dictatorial China fall to the bottom?

Nothing beats enjoying watching brainwashed Indians struggling to stay in denial mode.

In democracy, progress is slow but long lasting. In dictatorship, progress is quick, but demise is even quicker.

There are umpteen number of examples in history.

India used 70 years to prove the "slow" part, but nobody knows about the "long lasting" part. It is just a "make believe" often used to justify the "slow", just to fool those benighted that they still have some hope. Similar to the concept of karma.

That is something Chinese would never understand, the inherent strength of democracy. For you have always been an autocracy, with no power to choose, who rule over you.

If a ruler performing, he can always be re-elected and can be re-elected umpteen number of times, till the time they perform. The moments they stop, they can be kicked out.

But never give absolute power to any individual, for absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Inherent strength of democracy? from indian mouth, very funny and irony, always. You keep them.

Be happy, indian, because China are ruled by dictator, but you live in freedom and democracy.

Sorry, I am no soothsayer, but read some history, it will give you a vague idea, on how long it has taken for authoritarian dictatorships to collapse.

It is rich coming from person living under dictatorial regime, with no free speech or free press, calling me brainwashed.

I can criticize, abuse, even write against my government, if I don't approve their workings. Because I(citizens of India) brought them in power, I can kick them out. Can you do the same.

You are the brainwashed bot here, doomed to sit on the sidelines and helplessly accept what ever fate your government might impose on you.

just like you indian spin you hope on next life. And you indian like the story of the hare and the tortoise, you are slow but can win. But have you think that, China have advantage(efficiency) of the hare and the merit(Persistence) of the tortoise.

You talking about the history, so how long have the democratic country been existing for? and what about human history?

Is the long lasting part make believe. May I ask again, how many years, did take for American democracy to become superpower.

And how long they have been a superpower and will continue to remain so. While all the dictatorship around them collapsed.

When you indian's opinion are right and accepted by the world? as you logic, you should have been richer and stronger than China but you are not. you live in your dream and mouth, but not the real life, or you live in your "next life", at least, in your life, you can't see you indian are stronger and better than China.

Democracies have been existing for almost 3000 years. For its first 700 years even Rome was democracy. It is only after became a dictatorship, did you have rulers like Caligula, Nero, Commudus and eventual collapse of Rome.

You see you are another USA? Hehe, after independence, before 1900, they are the NO.1 economic entity, they are always first-class rich countries, and don't only talk about USA, you can take Britain and France as example.

Even German Reich grew at an exponential rate, after it became authoritarian country. It became stronger than all its neighbors in a matter of 6 years, but its demise even more spectacular.
