China is not a country that is based on race. And never has been. China in Mandarin is called Middle Kingdom or All Under Heaven. Its been called like this since ancient times.
Not like other countries in the world like Germany named after Germans, France for French, Japan for Japanese, Russia for Russians etc. China was never call Han country.

So that's why China wrongful thinking that everything on earth belong to them legally.

"It's not an easy task for China to deal with the northern Myanmar situation. We now are facing a diplomatic challenge. Varied forces in Chinese society should stay sober and avoid any premature stance or interference in northern Myanmar affairs, so as not to affect the government's diplomacy.

It's necessary to make it clear to the public that there are no territorial issues between China and Myanmar. As early as 1897, Kokang was integrated into British India when Burma was part of it. The Kokang are an ethnic group of Myanmar, but as close as they are to Chinese, they are not citizens of the People's Republic of China.

There are no grounds for comparing Kokang to Crimea. Those who are stuck in such comparisons are either spouting nonsense, or have ulterior motives. Peace and stability in the border regions are in China's utmost interest. China should play a role in fostering peace in northern Myanmar and persuading Myanmar government troops and ethnic armed forces to solve the problem through negotiations. A swarm of refugees pouring into China is detrimental to the border stability of China. Therefore, Chinese efforts to urge the peace process are imperative.

China should bolster the friendship that it has established with the Myanmar government and varied social groups. At no time should China get involved in Myanmar's domestic conflicts. Forces, whether in China or Myanmar, should not drive the situation in this direction. To solve the northern Myanmar conundrum requires both fortitude and wisdom. Clashes that have plagued the region since the end of last year have caused mass casualties and plunged the people into misery and suffering. Myanmar will hold general elections late this year, and we hope these will pave the way for national reconciliation and that ethnic conflicts won't affect the voting. "

1.With due regards to our ally and friend China, it must be said that the cunning Burmese have misled them regarding the reality with Arkan/Rohingyas. Arakanese - Muslim and Buddhist have always opposed and fought the Burmese since their independent kingdom was invaded and occupied by the King of Ava in 1784 to be followed by British colonial occupation.

I am a bit interested in the "other side" of the picture - how does things looks like on myanmar side? Like the situation in those refugee sites set up by help organizations (like local red cross) acknowledged by myanmar government? How many local refugees are going there instead of fleeing cross the border, are their basic needs covered there? Do they have trust in their (official) government under current situations?

Personaly I would like to see more picture and story from there as well as from PRC side.

Also please stop calling for help of overseas Chinese during hardships, or even mentioning overseas Chinese during your stupid CCTV gala. A warning to both sides, don't cross the redline like killing many innocent ppl in Kokang or hurt China interests in the area ... i had said in former post, there'r interests & billions of investments in North Myanmar. Only the PEACE in Kokang is the best friend for BeiJing.

A Civil War like Ukraine War is definitely not PRC's hope.

In 1954, Indonesia and China ratified a treaty stating that resident Chinese with dual nationality must choose one citizenship or the other by December 1962. The law required all Chinese Indonesians to choose between Chinese and Indonesian citizenship. Those who chose China return to China and those who chose to stay in Indonesia became Indonesia citizen.

Later, at Asia - Africa conference in Bandung 1955, Sukarno and Zhou Enlai signed a declaration stating that oversea Chinese as Indonesian citizen owed their primary loyalty to Indonesia not China/PRC. Indonesian Chinese have no connection with mainland anymore and they're not PRC responsibility.

Good move by your friend to finally assimilate BTW. There is no forcing to changing Chinese names today but having Indonesian name sure can help assimilation process better. A lot Chinese here today have dual names.

Indonesian Chinese are also free to preserve their culture and now open to pursue whatever career they want.

Don't try to tell people what they should do and what they shouldn't. Otherwise it will sound very condescending. the open forum is supposed to be a place where people come to exchange ideas and freely express themselves. not a place where you try to behave like someone you are not.

Like it or not, those opinions are shared by many Chinese people. and China is still rising fast, it won't stop rising just because you don't like her people's attitudes or thoughts. Chinese mentality and ethics are actually a major part of this miraculous Chinese success story.

The China-hating trolls here are bashing China not because it is not politically involved in one other nation's internal affairs (believe me, they would come up and argue against Chinese imperialism if China did just the way they promote now) but because they want China t be tangled in a crisis.

They may like it or not, China will respect Myanmar's sovereignty. There is humanitarian relief going on by China, but that's it. This is no excuse for China to intervene in Myanmar's internal affairs. Those who defend intervention on the basis of humanitarian crisis can take their ideas and apply to their own country. Sorry to break the news, China is not to listen to you.

This is exactly what China has been doing at the moment. Providing humanitarian relief. And seeking solution to the crisis. But China will never allow itself to be used as a launching pad for some people's political dreams. To Bangladeshi and Pakistani friends, if you have dreamed of China as a US 2.0 (but this time on your side), you better pack up and realign your foreign relations. China won't be involved in responsibility to protect scheme the way it has been practised in Libya or Syria.
