In contrast to Mao Zedong, Mandela, the former President of South Africa, was praised by the whole world. Of course, we Chinese also like Mandela very much.

But what did he bring to South Africa?

Thirty years ago, South Africa was a developed country. Now, South Africa is not even as good as Botswana and Mozambique. It has become a typical poor country in Africa.

Today, South Africa has become the most insecure region in the world. It is one of the countries with the highest incidence of murder, robbery and rape in the world. South Africa is also one of the countries with the highest incidence of AIDS.

Why?

First, Mandela announced that he would give up nuclear weapons. In 1994, South Africa announced its denuclearization to the world and invited the United Nations to supervise it. Mandela dismantled the nuclear laboratory and test platform built with painstaking efforts by successive South African presidents and countless scientists, and destroyed almost successful nuclear weapons. All nuclear weapon test parameters and data have submitted to the United Nations.
