China Beats Mongolia into Submission, 'Friend' India Watches

. .
China is very good at bullying its smaller neighbours.
Wonder why it has not sanctioned India yet when his holiness the Dalai Lama was a state guest of our president a few weeks ago ?
We already did, started from 1962. And now we can just triy to make your life difficult.it's enough, that Lama will be gone soon anyway. speaking of bullying small neighbors, tell me why every Indian small neighbor is a good friend of China?

I actually feel sorry for Mongolia. It's the only liberal democracy and free country in that part of the world.

Sandwiched between two authoritarian countries in the form of China and Russia, the situation appears to be quite hopeless for Mongolia.

The Mongolians require a very careful balancing act to survive in that difficult neighborhood.

Ultimately, I think Mongolia will enhance its economic and military ties with a more assertive Japan in the coming years, otherwise the country will end up becoming either a Chinese or Russian vassal state.

No one could (or should) blame China for trying to keep Mongolia away from India. That's the nature of geopolitics. The Chinese don't want any foreign power to be messing about in their own backyard.

That said, I think the real challenge to China's sphere of influence will come from Japan, not India.

USD 1 billion is too stingy but I guess that is all Indian could fork out. Weak man brag superpower.

I guess Mongolia was fooled by that India Superpower 2030 video that was shot in Dubai. When they realized that almost half of all Indians still defecate openly, it does not match the super power appearance. Look at this propaganda can even deceive a government.
