China and Saudi Arabia's Burgeoning Defense Ties

This is going to be really big.

Central Asia and the Middle East are known as the geographical pivot point of the world. As Trump's America retreats into isolationism, there is plenty of room for China's influence to expand. We need good friends in that region.

I think China can develop a wonderful relationship with the Muslim world. Pakistan needs to play the role in bridging this relationship together. The Muslim world always did have a good relationship with the Chinese since the Tang Dynasty.

Yes. In fact I feel that it is a geostrategic imperative.

Central Asia and the Middle East are known as the geographical pivot point of the world. There is no great power that exists without having influence in that region, and all of the countries there are Muslim majority.

The fact that China is majority Atheist should not be a problem I believe, we already have good working relationships with most of the countries in that region, especially due to Pakistan's influence.

Using data of 2008-2011 defense deal is real outdated. From 2011 onwards, estimate of deal is billions with PL-45 whole battalion equipment plus upgrade of DF-21 IRBM. Not to mention recent big order of drone deal at zhuhai 2016.

Last year I discussed with another poster about DF-3, you got any news on DF-21 for Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force?

Saudi Arabia can get ballistic and cruise missiles also submarines and Destroyers and Cruise Missile equipped Frigates and also if Russia allows than may be J-11 series and if China comes up with JH-7 B than may be Tornado can be replaced with JH-7 B.

The Muslim world will have a good relationship with China because the CCP doesn't have a history of colonizing, suppressing and dividing the Muslim States. America is a bully while China offers favorable trade and investment opportunities. Africa is a prime example....did China send in troops to steal the resources? The answer is no, instead they are developing the continent henceforth are more respected than the Americans. In my opinion Pakistan will play a huge role in linking the Muslim world to China and CPEC should be the gateway. These Central Asian states are resource rich in minerals. Afghanistan has the largest lithium reserves in the world. But the Chinese members in this forum must always remember that the military rules Pakistan, so take no notice of our politicians who don't know diddlysquat.

It is good to keep good relationship with the biggest country in the Arabian peninsula and Middle East.
