India has very bad relationships with neighbours Nepal , Pakistan and Srilanka .

India is trying to get help from USA and Japan but USA is not very reliable friend .
Pakistan had very bad experience of USA friendship in 1971.

China should secure the one road one belt projects , which is very important for regional development.

India is planning to develop roads and military bases in Ladakh .

I think China can help Pakistan to resolve Kashmir issue .

As per Chinese president, address to the Chinese nation and said: "prepare for war,." It will not mean linear kinetic warfare as per all Indians doctrine centric. If China was planning to halt your constructions , it would have swam the area with its soldiers and machines.
And instead of intruding few meters as you say, would have marched in to 100s of km. Full scale war would have been declared.
