China again bails out Pakistan to pay Saudi debt

I have been saying it for years that Pakistan's future lies with China, Central Asia, Iran and A-Stan. Pakistan is NOT a South Asian country or its interests lie with useless Sheikhs of Middle East. All oil and Gas Pakistan needs are available in the neighborhood or via Central Asia. So forget these Middle East Arse-holes and for God sake, pull out your troops from these ME countries.
International politics and diplomacy doesn't run on emotions. We should continue to do more business with them but reduce our dependency on them. Look at China despite being enemies it is the largest trading partner of both USA and India.

Whole-heartedly agree. Discussions should be kept civil and mature ....

Anyway, I have probably interacted and befriended thousands of Pakistanis as an Emirati during my 37 years. Most were poor and uneducated BUT they were proud men , kind gentlemen and would gladly give you their last Dirham to help out. They oozed confidence.

People like this would never feel the need to blindly hate because of a few racists people or resort to childish insults. These are hard-working men that have nothing back home so they left their loved ones to work hard in the GCC.

Emiratis love Pakistanis and respect them. They are good people. The ones on here are just a few lost teenagers with a severe lack of confidence that need to get their act together.
I can't speak about Emiratis since I have never lived in UAE but as far as KSA is concerned majority of Saudis are extremely racist to South Asians. Some members here are being too emotional, you may ignore them but I do stand by everything I have stated on this thread.

STOP BAGGING to whole world Pak should build up its economy and hang all politician and some national advisor who made this grt achievement.

So $1.5 billion was a big stress point for Pakistan when Pakistan, by some sources, imports $4 BILLION of edible oil every year, on top of various other non-essential items?? Why can't the country decide to not use sugar for a month and use jaggery or unsweet items? That's just an example, BTW.

Sometimes feel ashamed of the beggar mentality of people in Pakistan!! And I actually see that mentality all the time in relatives and during visits to Pakistan. Stretching hand for help brings no shame. And often for show-off weddings or soul-less festivals and rituals.
well, because alot of people have import based business that were affected

whil exporters were unhappy importers were very happy ..& vice versa now

point is while you can run an export based economy you cant run an import based upon economy

Understandably the anti Ummah brigade is at full force with high morale ...
So let's be very clear...
There is No political entity of or for Islam, let that sink in...
Ones berating Islamic brotherhood of Ummah are themselves hiding behind borders, nations, ethnic groups, tribs, labor unions, political parties of various agendas and interest groups, everything but Islam... yet, simultaneously berating their very brothers in Islam with whom they stand beside in one row irrespective of all of the above diversion and division, irrespective of wealth and/or stature, one in service and obedience to Almighty, Creator of the universe.

Saudi's didn't just play with Brits to undo Ottomans they actively dissuaded Muslim political unity(read Mecca conference 1926). They were merely one royalty replacing another...
Their every decision is for self preservation, at any cost! Be it Pakistan, Yemen, Iran or to the very last Muslim.

What is surprising is everyone coming out of the woodworks to make a point out of it without realizing that instead they're just exposing their primary allegiances, or mere lack of knowledge.

Instead new global realignment is apace, pawns are at move again... debts are being recalled or former acts of generosity intimated ...
Remember Saudis didn't just sell Turks they sold Arabs of Palestine, whom(Palestinians) were not forsaken by Ottomans, besides using, coercing the powers that be to spill blood of Muslims to maintain primacy of some... Kashmir is simply not on the menu!

Agreed but sending cheap labour to these countries and sending your Soldiers for rent is not International Diplomacy OR trade.

Looks like Pakistan's new foreign minister is going to be Mubarek Patel son of Iranic soil.

Good news for the smuggling tribal Indian chieftains

In all honesty, I’m happy this is happening the faster we detach ourselves from Saudis & Co., the better and form out own policies and alliances based on our interests. We never got anything out of these damn Saudis.

As a Pakistani who has spent a better part of his life in Abu Dhabi (27 years), yes Pakistani's "were" treated better, but that love has since moved on to Indians since the last 10-15 years or so.

That said, economics matter; and the Sharifs and Zardari's have utterly destroyed that. China is definitely helping out and is moving heaven and earth to make CPEC a success; one which hinges on Pakistani's making the most of it.

Leaving aside politics and governments, would you say Pakistanis are not treated or dealt with nicely by the people of the UAE ? because I personally cannot see that.

I said they don't receive the love the Indians do.
Doesn't have to do anything with being nice/obnoxious. Again, economic reasons and that is fine by us.
Same reason you guys buddied up with the Israelis, economics. Again, fine by us.
