True, even the politics is pragmatic and most relationship in the World is for mutual benefit, but it doesn't mean the true friendship doesn't exist, it is just very rare.

Pakistan has never been anti communist in general, its stance was only to safeguard against the USSR’s expansionist policy and therefore it shared the concerns with the western Europe and that’s where it all stopped.

Bingo !

And as for F-16s, then yes, we are aiming to increase their number with the PAF to meet our air defence needs. However the numerous strings attached to the procurement as well as the unreliability of relations with the US are encouraging Pakistan to deepen its partnership with China further.

Hence the carrots offered by the US. They want a Pakistan that depends exclusively on US military hardware and economic aid (mostly loans + interest). They make huge bucks out of their so-called aid to Pakistan.

China's cooperation is not about increasing the debt-burden on Pakistan, but to promote development within Pakistan.

Let me settle once and for all the indian myth that china uses pakistan to fight india, never in the history of china did china uses people from other country to fight the war for them.but unfortunately the opposite is true many of our brave soldiers did die to fight the war for others countries such as NKorea and vietnam war.

Yeah, China is not the Western Imperialists, and we never spread the hatred among other people.

The Divide and Conquer tactics is the legacy of the Western political culture, not the Chinese one.

As a Pakistani we should safeguard our sovereignty at any price whether that be against China whom i regard as brothers and close allies who thankfully have never interferred in our internal politics and always shown us respect, China need a strong and stable Pakistan to serve their own interests in the region so i truly believe they will do eveything in their power to make sure Pakistan remains a stable soverign state. No-one gives hand outs in this day and age without expecting something in return and as Pakistanis it's time we stopped our dignity being trampled upon by accepting foreign aid constantly which the common man doesn't see.

Personally find it embarassing that Pakistanis need to ask foreign construction companies to help us build Dams when what we should be doing is getting our very own construction companies working alongside the Chinese and learning from them so next time we don't have to rely on anyone bar ourselves while never forgetting the help we received from the Chinese in this field.

Pakistan should take a lesson from the Iranian and Chinese educational system, send representatives to the respective countries mentioned and come back and implement the necessary changes into our outdated system. We should be also going to countries like Germany and Sweden seeing how we can possibly improve our healthcare system to make sure it's effecient as possible. Our Leaders have juggled far too long with our affairs without producing any results and our people have remained patient and steadfast for far too long, it's high time we start progressing and we should look closely and work profusely alongside both Iran and China in order to improve the conditions within our country while benefitting our close allies without having to rely on them and burden them with our affairs.

If Pakistan is to prosper we need to look to our Western border and ask for Iranian assistance for far too long have we negelected that relationship and have not given them the respect they truly deserve as they are willing to provide unconditional help to Pakistan especially in the energy sector but unfortunately our leaders rather look to the crumbling house of Saud for assistance even though they are heavily responsible along with the US and our leaders for the death of our citizens.

Please ignore the Indians who come on here to highlight their insecurities because it's a relationship that they are concerned deeply about especially should Pakistan find it's own two feet and become a major economic player alongside China with both working in unison with one another.

Sir ji then tell me how can you say that India- Russia not trust each other ????

Yeah, Iran is also a great country with impressive scientific achievement despite facing the technology embargo from the West.

Hopefully, China and Iran can also become the true friends in the future.

Then the title is misleading.... "China : A True Friend Indeed " ... Businessmen are not friend and foe, they are just businessmen.. the title must be simple "China planning to invest x billion dollars in Pakistan" ...
Friends are those people who help you without expecting any profit... who help you when you are in need...
