After Russia , Chile and Indonesia are other countries which have shown interest in acquiring an air-launched version of BrahMos missile which likely will be tested in February .

Raja Singh Thangadurai, Deputy Programme Director, BrahMos, Defence Research and Laboratory, (DRDL), Hyderabad confirmed while speaking to The Hindu that both Chile and Indonesia have shown interest in the missile but idrw.org like to caution its viewers that Chilean Air Force currently does not operate any Sukhoi-27/30 variants in its fleet but Indonesian Air Force does operate Mix of 16 Su-27SK/SKM and Su-30MKK/MK2

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd along with Russia’s Sukhoi design bureau have carried out modification on two Sukhoi-30MKI which belongs to Indian Air force and have also designed launcher, and have carried out all missile-related software and hardware changes to the aircraft mission computers successfully .

HAL and IAF already have started dummy trials from Sukhoi-30MKI at Pokhran in Rajasthan and few more test are planned before actual missile test flight can be cleared . India’s entry into the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) and recent talks on enhancing BrahMos’s existing range from 290 km to 600 km will make an Air-launched version of BrahMos one of the deadliest Air lunched supersonic cruise missile in the world .

Chile? Whut? Why? Do they plan on shooting penguins? It doesn't make much sense for them to buy them...well I guess it does if the US wants to get their hands on a BrahMos.

Like what neighbor is Chile worried about that they need supersonic weapons? Brazil? Argentina? BrahMos would be expensive overkill.

Actually, you do not know you are saying, you are saying it just for the sake of saying. Every country in the world has a right to defend itself, its better prepaid. Who knows You Americans.

The only country they get along badly with is maybe Bolivia. Bolivia has no jet fighters and only 35 tanks. Chile has about 50 F16s and 300 tanks. Maybe they are interested in targeting Chinese fishing boats.

I think you are not mature enough to understand these things, If srilanka is a dot on the world Map and the only neighbor is India, still wants to purchase fighter Jets, not against India but to keep itself secure. ( From any thing)
