Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Navy inspected Chinese submarines and Algeria contracted 054A

China's China Times reported that General Atwa, chief of the Egyptian navy, visited China's heavy-duty shipyards. To inspect the latest conventional submarines of the type S20 and S26T.

Also, the Algerian Navy Commander General Houli visited the shipyard Hudong Zhonghua in the Chinese shipbuilding industry and the Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Base. The shipyard Hudong Zhonghua built a comprehensive training vessel "Peak" weighing 5,000 tons for the Algerian navy and three 3,000-ton C28A missile frigates. The Algerian navy has a new contract for the 054A frigate and and AIP propulsion submarines.

Mostly Usrael subs (long story...).. and protecting its Gas pipelines to Europe..

What are the issues between them?

The biggest issue was with Morocco about the Western Sahara..Where Algeria and Libya were supporting a separatist armed group called Polisario.. The Issue is at the UN..and the impression is that Morocco has won the political and the military war..mostly after strong support from the US, most of EU and others who have dragged their feet about it for decades.. The Algerians themselves are not happy with the conflict and want to get rid of the whole old establishment..This is a positive sign for North Africa (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia) who had established a Union that was disturbed most of the time by this Sahara conflict.. now time for peace and prosperity for the region..
