Checkpost of militants torched

BARA: The security forces here Sunday torched a checkpoint and arrested two suspected persons in Shalobar area of Bara tehsil where militants used to collect illegal tax from people, official sources said.
They said the security forces put on fire the militants checkpost near Arjaleen Adda where they used to collect tax from vehicles transporting transit goods. The two suspected militants Khan Zali and Khan Muhmmad were nabbed there and two motorbikes parked in the checkpost were torched.
Meanwhile, the security forces raided the houses of Lashkar-e-Islam commanders Faqir Gul and Misri Khan in Shalobar area but no arrests were made. Body found in Swat: A bullet-riddled body was found dumped in a field in Gogdarra in Swat while the police recovered arms and ammunition during search in Rasha Gatta area Sunday. Sources said the police found body of Haider Ali in a field near the telephone exchange.

Meanwhile, a party of the Mingora Police reached Rasha Gatta area and found two hand-grenades, two detonators, Kalashnikov rifle and rounds from a field.
