Same old G3s but with a shortened barrel and maybe in 556. saw a few of these at an expo a while back in various Calibers. Being manufactured at wah by pof. If I’m not mistaken. I for one don’t like anything related to or resembling a g3. About time we replaced these with a new more stable platform for the armed forces.
The old ones could be sold to some African or South American country or they could be donated to the police force.

Muffakir its just re-worked g3. Which means g3 ia not going away as quickly as we wish.

On second thought I think police should be given M4's instead of g3 or type 56. Maybe someone can pass the message up the right channels.

I know that but never saw Elite Police with these weapons so was quite interested. In my opinion we need to go for at least two Rifle series so we can equip Police also.

556 calibre and M4 is the best choice for police on duty and patrolling, it is the right weight and dimensions too for the police force. You cannot go wrong with M4 its widely available with plenty of choice for accessories.

M4 is costly on average 1000 to 1200 dollars
In contrast to type 56 or a wah made g3 costs around 350 to 400 dollars so.

Quality control depends on following a procedure and its not so difficult to implement either. If there is a will because it is not rocket science.

Yes but it takes time and money better to develop one's own design rather than putting so much money and effort in a 50 years old design.

That's why wah or anyone else has not attempted to do so

You need something right away. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. You go with the best bang for your money. So money is not wasted on projects that is better to purchase then spend years on development. A rifle is one such thing. So many nations are doing R&D and offer joint manufacturing.

So its better to spend money on stretegic weapons R&D.
