CH-4B in Balochistan

Good job. This is a long fight, but it will eventually be won through wearing them down over many years. There is legitimately no other way to win this than strategically eliminating their hubs and command units
There is...stop recruitment..
By going through law and order rather then picking up and killing every dick tom and Harry..

In war of attrition our loses have been more simply because the command thinks we have unlimited supply of men but it forgets that killing fuels their morale..

MRAPs will go along way in damping their morale

.
Because the command thinks we have unlimited supply of men but it forgets that killing fuels their morale...
Big emphasis on this part.

I think maybe a dedicated unit with better focus on high quality training in specific terrains and equipped with high quality equipment is better than trying to overwhelm them with men that are averagely equipped

.
So they decided to put mines on roads . Blow up civilian buses, attack civilian hospitals , kill innocent poor labourers and take dollars from who ever was willing to pay especially bhartis? Burn schools..attack poor ladies giving polio drops to their children
And that's just the tip

Way to go ....ain't 1971 any more....

The reason why commands does try to protect it's men is purely political. This is what the foot soldier believe so.

And it makes sense as MRAPS available and cheap .so why aren't they provided .no other explanation apart from command wanting it's men to die make sense

.
They are already weary but not finished.
They can only conduct grenade,IED or sniper attacks.
Are all the borders secure, so these elements cant escape or be resupplied, each time these IBOs occur?

I hope the troops get enough equipment including MRAPs and the training to be safe from these potential attacks, and take the fight to the enemy continuously through IBOs, so that in a few years these miscreants are detected and eliminated. A QRF is also needed so any troops overwhelmed know backup is coming ASAP, and that helps maintain morale.

Command enjoys it's corruption because of people dying and their sacrifices

That's not finished.
They are doing pretty good.
Achieving it's goal of zero investment in Baluchistan

I agree. The hilux trucks are absolute death traps.

The top brass just doesn’t want to supply them, because then there will be no deaths for them to hide behind.

This is why I suggest making a completely separate division of the army for internal threats. One that works very closely with the Intelligence agency, drone technology and informants throughout different habitations within the areas that the TTP/BLA are active.

This wing will tackle threats by having full surveillance coverage of The areas that they can hide, as well as weeding out their sympathisers that allow them to stay within the regions.

I also believe that the ground units that tackle these should work in conjunction with close air support drones, as this would lower the death toll from snipers massively.

Furthermore, MRAPs should be absolute top priority for tackling these issues, due to the asymmetrical attacks of the TTP- and the fact that troop transport within regions where the military is targeted, should always be the highest quality

Too bad the PA doesn’t listen to me

Currently most people are dying are from FC and they don't have equipment because brass doesn't want to supply them.
Generals who tried were fired or demoted
Even the ones supplied for free by uncle Sam are kept in wraps and not used

Nope, he’s the only one that was based
He is the reason why our country is in this mess. He brought the Sharif family into power, a decision that we are still suffering from and more importantly he is the one who brought religious extremism into the country.

At this point we as nation should realize all dictators were bad even your favourites, all politcal interference was bad

When we as a country get behind this unequivocally as a matter of principal (IK or no IK)- all this politcal interference would stop over time

It's public support when they were wrong that strengthened em

FC is your special force.

All they need is equipment and intelligence that they aren't provided

What do they intend to achieve by that?

What ever they acheived uptill now.

I.e incredible life style and retirement package through corruption business and money laundering ran by controlling civilians governments via popular support (bought on top of these deaths), black mailing (seen common these days) or intimidation.

They should prepare for a long haul now. Sadly, these kinetic operations will not solve the problem in the long run.

Administrative issues are huge. Smuggling continues and civil admin is unable to take over once guns fall silent. Attacks will continue when the military leaves.

Pakistan once again is being sucked in multiple insurgencies and the goal is to stop its economic development once again while india continues to extend its lead. Pakistan simply does not have the resources needed to stabilize this huge province permanently.

.
there's no military solution in B-stan but political - and that can never happen without military interference in politics ( Baloch CM is selected by agencies, he is not respected in fact after Malik no other Baloch CM was considered legitimate- for a start stop selecting CM's (were trying to do the same in Punjab with Aleem khan) , 2-FC and every agency operating Balochistan should be directly reporting to PM's office and should only be provided assistance by army not controlled - infact insurgency in both Waziristan and Baluchistan should be handled by internal civilian led force- IB and FC not army and ISI), so we'll keep losing men in B'stan after every few decades

80% of it is going to be solved by politicians, rest 20% by military

BLA sympathizers (not terrorists) are also Pakistani so are the regular soldiers dying in the middle of nowhere somewhere in B-istan - they are dying because of hostile external powers and greedy insiders

The baloch struggle is like that of every Pakistani striving for political freedom, and economic prosperity and that should take place within the confines of Pakistan as a non violent political struggle- this is the way forward, picking up arms destabilize the country, when we are constantly destabilized we never get the time to do much needed political, economic reforms

its a cycle
