On Sunday, November 16, 2014, Commander of the United States Central Command, General Lloyd J. Austin III, welcomed Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif at the Central Command’s headquarters in Tampa, FL. This has been the first visit of General Sharif to the United States since he assumed responsibilities of Pakistan’s COAS. In this meeting they exchanged views on regional security and improving AF-PAK military to military relations, issues that are of high importance to both Pakistan and the United States.

Please be serious bro.

you can joke whatever but be nice. Gen. Raheel should never be compared with the worst possible dictator.

Please remember the dictator Sadd-damn died like a wild pig.

you don't want to wish this even for your enemies let alone your own top army soldier.

Thank you.

how come people have no sense of humor, i know life is tense but sometime you need to take things lightly...and by the way joke was at theor airport security and if you ever been thru the US airports you would know how stupid they are.
Gen raheel looks like Sadam hussain with his mustache

The COAS has gained weight since he took office. But looks stoic as ever. Perhaps some more details on what was discussed along with exclusive photos would be nice @CENTCOM

As many have said the details will not be made public.

Heck it is already too much press and photos.

It is a working visit and the agenda is very simple.

1. mutual decisions to keep peace in Afghanistan
2. Restocking of ammo for PA.

That's all.

I wish there was a third item on this list. But we the Paks do not have political will for it. At least not yet. hopefully soon. But not yet.

proposed third item.

3. Send at least 1 division of Pak infantry and armored guys (could be a package of 2 brigades of infantry and 1 armored) to end the terror by IS.

US can easily equip/support this division with armor and aviation.

So there you have it.

@CENTCOM what do you think?

The Cobra's actually. They're going to start falling apart if not for some seriously heavy duty maintenance efforts.

Yes. That's true.

Although me thinks, US is saving a lot of money AND time by helping equip Pak-Af forces with Russian helos.

The details of the meeting have not been made public. What we do know is that the two gentlemen exchanged views on regional security and relations between Afghan National Security Forces and the Pakistani Military post-2014. We do have some additional pictures from the meeting if you would like to see them.

Also, I understand humor but let's try to show the respect these military Generals and all soldiers deserve.
