Does it the caste system have anything to do with compplexion?to this day never have i seen a dalit or a lower caste member that has a light complexion(again i mean no racism just curious)

Not necessarily dude. I've travelled a few times to North India(I'm from the South) and have found many folks from so-called backward castes to be fairer than many Brahmins from the South. A lot of intermingling had already taken place before the caste system became rigid.

Take our Home Minster, Sushilkumar Shinde for example. He's from a Scheduled Caste(SC) i.e a backward caste. Judge for yourself if he fits the typically bandied description of backward castes.

marriage is personal thing, as long as people dont discriminate in their behaviour in public, I dont see need to complain much.

Too fast change might bring its own kind of troubles... The idea is to let people change themselves with time.

A SC-ST person can file a complaint if he/she feels that he/she is being discriminated against. and this offense is punishable with very swift action. You can still find people ( not necessarily always "upper cste" ones ) foulmouthing them.. No law can force people to change..

Yes.. This is how it starts.. Upper caste people have been traditional voters. And have started to become the deciding factor now in some places. Thats why such statements have started to flow. Bihar has already set up a commission to look into the possibility. Even OBC MLA/MP candidates while doing door to door campaigns have started to promise that their party will fight for reservations for upper caste. Wait for 10-15 years. You might see a Brahmin cracking IAS by reservation. That will be the day when Ambedkar will be so proud.
