Captured Moments from COAS Gen.Sharif's Visit

American and western form of democracy suits where it belongs. the America and west. Pakistan and the east are different people and always a different form of government suits us.

If the americans had ignored him, they had pissed off the whole of pakistan.

Here we go again. Democracy is democracy. Your neighboring India and the other part of Pakistan follow the same process. Your post has 0 value to the topic and some seriously important points I was trying to make. If the democracy doesn't matter, then I'd suggest the "only loyal" force, aka, the Pakistani military should take over and see what happens  :enjoy:. NS told RS the first time they met after IK's sit ins (when RS was just visiting him and NS thought "here comes the Army"), that this wasn't 1999 and he won't leave from the PM house. And if the military does anything stupid, they'll bring the real power brokers of Pakistan, i.e. the PEOPLE. Since then, the Army has learned it quickly that its not ever going to be able to sustain itself, or the country it "loyally" represents, if a few million people came out on the street to protect their democracy. Army is a great thing to have, BUT in WAR and as needed by the civil government. The remainder of the time, it looks GREAT sitting inside its allotted areas. PERIOD!!!

On the last part, do you think the US really cares how "pissy" can anyone get if it was our interests on the line???? Reminder: OBL operation?? RS got the respect because NS had already told the US that RS will be following up to go over all operational details, and second, Pak military has done a lot in WOT and the US respects it. But had it been another country's general, you won't see any civilian leader like the Sec of the State meet with him.

Also, to set things straight, unlike the previous generals, RS isn't macho, flashy or power hungry or wants to be in power. He's an honorable man and that's why he gets more respect. Its not JUST because of the military, he has a good, straight forward personality also.

I wish to see more Abraham coming to PA :)

But I think it depends upon the budget PA has.

You're right. The best performance of the army comes under the civilian authority. An army which has conducted a coup fails miserably in wars. We learnt it at an unbearable price from our Ottoman past. Six hundred years of a world's Top government was lost in six years of coup government of CUP ( may Allah's curse upon these Meluns). Pak's experience in 1971 should be analyzed well - it was an army which conducted a coup. Now, PA is winning gloriously because unity and discipline are not lost by coup loving generals. Mutual check and balance would do wonders for Pakistan InshaAllah, as it's unfolding in Turkiye. Sometimes I think that our fates are tied together. May Murad-I-Ilahi push us forward to the future as glorious as our Ottoman/Mughal past!!

While america has been busy imposing their form of government on country after country, breaking them apart and rendering them far more dysfunctional than they were when america did not poke their nose, the people of Pakistan rather have an army general rule them than some Politician who cant run the country.
From experience not theory,in Pakistan there is no comparison between the years of martial law and the so called democracy. Martial law has always been better.
No he is not seen as just a general, but a hero to which the people of pakistan can look up to and can trust. None of the politicians not even the prime minister is as popular among people of pakistan as general raheel, the americans know that and thats why the protocol.
If the americans had ignored him, they had pissed off the whole of pakistan, but if they had ignored Nawaz sharif, not many people had cared...smae as Bill clinton made him sit outside his office for 45 minutes for a 15 minute talk,in which he just bullied him and sent him back.

nahi bahi hum to democrazy hi implment "no rather I should say .... musalat " karen gay app par ..... haven't you seen how bootiful and prooooogresive all those states have become where we have DELIVERED this shit ..... through our democracy delivery system "BOOTS and BOMBS" ......:pissed:

Last time I checked we still had democracy and free speech, Calling a spade a spade is not broken record. Pakistan Army should defend the borders not dictate the foreign policy.
The evolution process is hard to understand? This is Pakistan going through evolution. Every nation goes through their own evolution process. European Union went through First and Second World War before reaching the current state and millions died in those wars. USA fought Civil War after the liberation. These are two diverse examples of evolution in modern History and examples of evolution. The process of evolution is different in each geographical and cultural area according to prevailing conditions. Pakistanis should be thankful that somebody is trying to protect Pakistan's interests until we get real leaders instead of this corrupt so called leadership we have seen emerge from the so called "democracy" in Pakistan. Army comes in to stop gap, if there are no gaps trust me there shall be no Army interference. As long as the politicians are capable and they have moral authority nobody will challenge their jurisdiction. Keep on doing money laundering and corruption someone will interfere. All Pakistanis are not dishonest that they want corrupt leaders to continue corruption in the name of two magic words, democracy and constitution.
