Cancer sufferer: Why I'm choosing to die on Nov 1 aged 29

Cancer is still incurable. One has to die with great sufferings. Treatment of cancer makes more miserable. In my opinion the patient should only be treated for his pain relieving nothing else. Cancer special hospital still carry the logo, "And Research Centres" for example SHAUKAT KHANUM CANCER HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE.

incidents like this makes one feel the non existence of god.

To us believers, it actually enhances our faith in Him and His ways. He has planned and willed everything. Otherwise, we would all be in paradise.

On the contrary, it is curable. I am a living proof of that and so are millions of people around the globe. Moreover it's not any more painful than any other serious illness. But the fact that they administer you poison, quite literally, make things worse for cancer. Yes life during chemo therapy and radio theory is miserable but things are rosy after that. Pain management is a crucial part of treatment but only treating symptomatically will only make your inevitable death (due to non-treatment) more prolonged. Better cured than just prolonging life.

I lost my dad to cancer so I know the pain of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. But still its life and it is worth fighting for. May be one such fight ends up helping million others. Dying by any mean on whatever terms is not a solution at all. I am sad for her for giving it up so easily without fighting.

Her story has made us here, the healthy one, shaking ....thinking that how ungrateful we are to ALLAH blessing, and how weak we are in the face of our own life challenge.

I hope she continues fighting, as a quality of life, based on religious term, should not only be seen from the point of view of physical thing, since non physical parameter as how much our faith is to our God is also really important.

Really sad to hear this story. May she find peace.
My cousin was diagnosed with brain cancer, after fighting it for almost two years she finally defeated it.
