The problem is that even in a country like Canada you can have Doug Ford, who is nothing but a Showbaz Sharif except less corrupt, be able to get elected by signalling certain vibes that appeal to the most basic fears people have of others.

You're giving him too much credit. Wynne lost it by bad policies and was going to lose no matter what. He was just there at the right time, right place.

I never liked Wynne, had a weird vibe from her. She tried to force her personal beliefs about sexuality on toddling children. I have been saying this also that it wasn't the conservatives who won, it was Wynne who lost.

Let's not forget that Modi was banned from entering many Western countries, including the USA, before he became India's PM.

Modi is petty, extremest, uneducated, unsophisticated and above all extremely superstitious and full of hate for anyone who doesn't agree with him. This is exactly the kind of people Pakistan should push to rule India.
