They thought this allegation will destabilize domestic politics and replace with a pliant BNP Government. SHW can see the writing on the wall correctly and is pivoting towards China. In the 90's? I doubt it. There was talk about it some years back. It was claimed by the Indian media. Both Bangladesh government and the U.S. denied those reports.

Question here is, AL top people were propagating by implying that he was responsible for all the problems the govt faced on receiving the Padma Bridge financing. My opinion is if a country's government is weaker than a person, then he should be made the PM of BD.
