Can the US learn from China's determined response to Coronavirus?

I think he should've gone there early, many people are not happy that he only went there after everything is clear.

I don't think Wuhan gives a $hit about Xi or Sun Chunlan, they are angry because they continue to be 'in prison' 50 days and counting. They are angry because they are running short of supplies. They are angry because government official are profiteering at the expense of ordinary citizens. They are angry because they have experienced brutal violence at the hands of state officials. They are angry at the state lies - why else were people screaming 'fake' ..'everything is fake' out of their windows when Vice-premier Sun Chunlan visited Wuhan?

I talked to some of my Wuhan friends now being quarantined in Hubei, they didn't show the anger you described, but of course they are just couples of my friends, don't represent Wuhan people as a whole.

One of my friends in Wuhan, she made a video of her life under the lockdown.

Taiwan did much better at containing covid 19 than China, now remind me is Taiwan run by a communist authoritarian regime like China? Surely yes, how else could they do much better than China?

I prefer to learn from Taiwan, they contained the virus without brutalizing their own people.:agree:

Not really.

Taiwan has a different scenario than mainland China.

China has a problem with an inside outbreak, while Taiwan basically the threat is coming from aboard.

Taiwan just needs to lock its door, while China must find the source of the virus, which nowhere to be found.

Since the first person gets sick, the virus has already spread to others.

How good the Chinese system compare with Taiwan, we can see how China deals with external threats as well.

If you morons wouldn’t have tortured and killed that doctor for raising alarm this disease wouldn’t have spread to 66 countries and killed so many people and now you monkeys as usual making these self boasting videos being shameless. US and others have many things to learn from you.

hi

the doctor issue is for public consumption.

The cdc already knew about what was happening.

the cdc / WHO has a network that is looking at the hot spots of viral activity All over the world that could create a potential for epidemic leading to a pandemic.

The US did not quarantine travelers in a timely manner to contain the disease.

. . .
would it be more smarter that China in first place would learn from west basic food hygien standarts to prefent such virus outbreaks in first place?

Like this?

In the spring of 2009, a novel influenza A (H1N1) virus emerged. It was detected first in the United States and spread quickly across the United States and the world.
CDC estimated that 151,700-575,400 people worldwide died from (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first year the virus circulated
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/2009-h1n1-pandemic.html

Where did the 2009 H1N1 flu virus come from?
The 2009 H1N1 influenza virus (referred to as “swine flu” early on) was first detected in people in the United States in April 2009.
https://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/information_h1n1_virus_qa.htm

Xi should apologise to whole world for giving deaths, panic and chaos. Can he be tried in ICJ?

10 years of H1N1 influenza: outbreaks in India, infection trends in the states
In India, the past decade saw as many as 1.58 lakh persons being infected by the virus and over 10,000 succumbing to it.

Most Chinese stores are also like this, nothing surprising at all. most devastated plagues which killed off a high percentage of a population happened in the west.

You are making things worse with every post. You are making people more angry with China.
China should continue its humanitarian assistance and stop trying to deflect blame.

Continue to post positive news about China's humanitarian efforts - fighting, arguing and blaming is just upsetting more people.

Pig eaters.
Two swine flus both originated from US in 1918 and 2009.
