CAN NARENDRA MODI SET ASIDE CONGRESSI IDEA OF SECULARSIM AND CREATE HIS OWN

.
What is the true form of secularism (as you describe) of modi . do elaborate!!

Not much of a Modi fan but do not see any alternative - But here is my view - Maybe a uniform set of laws for all people instead of having separate laws for people with different religious background and modernizing laws of certain religions and not doing the same for other religions allowing them some medieval practices especially the ill-treatment of women which is not reflective of a modern nation.

Things in India are not as cut and dried as you state. religious and cultural tolerance is probably the best depicted by the society of India. even the people in the US are a lot more intolerant of cultures which are alien to them , a place where ever one is equal.

one of the reasons is that we accept the some people do not share our point of view. (i do not agree with it ) but as its in our Constitution no one can question it. at least till the Constitution is changed itsself.

.
Media will continue to portray him as evil because they are simply paid to do so.

When Omar Abdullah of J&K said that he's Muslim and he is Indian at that time it was all secular.

But when Modi said he is born a Hindu, he becomes communal.

Shows what the secularist vermin expect the people of the country to be.

Ignore them Modi ji.

They will never vote for your because their masters won't let them.

We all will.

This communalization of laws was done by Con party during the socialist era as they studied that divide and rule policy well in those days.

During the Vajpayee regime, there was a proposal for UNIFORM CIVIL LAW CODE, which was put forth but the opposition (the much touted Secularists), shot the idea down and it had to go away because of democracy's weakness. The Civil Code was to make same laws for everyone but the secularist brigade opposed because their votebank was offended even if all the other faiths agreed to accept the laws uniformly.

Totally agree...

If accepting the fact that someone is a Hindu in front of public makes him/her communal than being or accepting that someone is Muslim,Sikh,Christian,Buddhist should also be communal..

You don't have to shout in front of public if you really are a secularist

Is that a reasonable excuse? Not everything is cut and dry? I would have appreciated if you had explained what were the constraints - While Hindu civil laws were modified at different times post independence(remember Hindu civil laws cover all Dharmic faiths) what prevented the powers to be from modifying Mohammedian laws? And when Supreme Court intervened in 1980s in Shah Bano case to provide maintenance for muslim women post-divorce, the stalwarts of supportedly secular forces bypassed that. And guess what -the constitution itself was a direct competitor to the principles provided in Nehru report prepared by Nehru's father Motilal and Nehru himself was the personal secretary to his father when the report was prepared.
So the supposedly secular forces has pulled a wool over majority Indians.

Look for me to explain would take some effort on my part . it would also mean me have some sort of a discourse with you . one it will take my time the second i just dont have the need to raise my BP . so lets say you are entitled to your point of view and me mine.
lets agree to disagree. :)

I was asking because yesterday i read an Article of shashi tharoor in IE. It looked quite gloomy and defensive.

Also an Important question. If Congress win's this time, would it follow some economic policies of UPA 2 (NAC made) or would it change it in favor of liberalism in wake of Economic crisis.
