Can Indian Military use P8I for AEW operations on land borders?

Do you know P8i aircrafts can be used for AEW operations on land borders i.e - they're patrolling the LAC since the past 3 years or more. They were also utilised in the post 27th Feb scenario on the LoC, IIRC

Indian P-8i has seen two major modifications when it comes to radar. The main radar in the nose has been given an air search function, with multiple modes. And, unlike the American version, it comes with an aft radar with an air search range of over 400Km. So this gives the P-8I full 360 degree AEW&CS capability.

So this gives the P-8i aircraft full 360 degree AEW&CS capability

Could P8 can be used. Yes

Can Indians use it. No.

It not AEW per se but can provide air search out to ranges - but because it is not optimized for that role it wont be as good as a NETRA or Erieye. Its the same as the PN using the ZDK-03s SEA search mode which is ok but not optimized like the P-8Is sensors are.

Focus was on SAR to identify movements and ESM to pinpoint AD assets

Indians did nada.

US provided the intelligence to India on China.

Even after that Modi did not have courage to name China and ended up saying no one is on India's land.

After seeing India's lack of courage, US dumped Quad and created AUKUS instead to repleace Quad.

US has realized that Indians are no fighetrs and useless.
