Can India block Pakistan's Water?

Call center monkeys are calling for diversion of Pakistan's lifeline - and then they wonder why there's a Kashmir dispute.

Thank God no one takes you seriously in real life, nor is India a dictatorship, otherwise crackpots like modi might actually think the idea is good.

There's a reason why nations consider an attack on a Dam equal to a nuclear attack. Diversion of the waters of Pakistan will cross the nuclear threshold.

killing 1 billion hindus will give us the comfort and peace. we don't care if 200 million of us die. other muslims states and china would enjoy your water.

what about indian terrorists in pakistan. would you plz reduce them.

Your mindset from thr previous post itself shows what a terror sympathizer you'd be...

What terrirists... where are you dossiers that you showed to the americans!!?? What are the results????! Kiddo go and check the reasons for the terrorism in ur country... its all because of ur mess... the same mess made you bomb ur own people in ur western border

. .
We do not need to abrogate IWT. Pressure can be build up on Pakistan without violating the clauses of the treaty which surely this government is thinking of, I guess.

Oh we will, but where were they at the times of kargil, when we bombed 4000 of yours out ? Maybe busy bulding dams ?
how much men(1:30) and time you took(months)second its 457. 4000 is a political point scoring by nawaz sharif. and about those dead bodies which you will be talking about soon. they were few and were mujahideens.
it also showed that who got the balls to fight a war under nuclear umbrella.

No need for Pakistan to do anything folks, store water and reduce wastage that's fine, but if India dares tries to play water wars the Chinese will simply turn off the taps to three of their major rivers i.e. the Sutlej, Brahmaputra and of course the Ganges. They can't do the square root of squat regarding the Indus anyway, that originates in China.
Anyway, there's already a large thread going on in the Asia section.

For reference Eldarlmari's post.

Geography[edit]

Map of the region
Lake Manasarovar lies at 4,590 metres (15,060 ft) above mean sea level, a relatively high elevation for a large freshwater lake on the mostly saline lake-studded Tibetan Plateau.

Lake Manasarovar[1] is relatively round in shape with the circumference of 88 kilometres (55 mi). Its depth reaches a maximum depth of 90 m (300 ft)[citation needed] and its surface area is 320 square kilometres (120 sq mi). It is connected to nearby Lake Rakshastal by the natural Ganga Chhu channel. Lake Manasarovar is near the source of theSutlej, which is the easternmost large tributary of the Sindhu. Nearby are the sources of the Brahmaputra River, the Indus River, and the Ghaghara, an important tributary of the Ganges.

Lake Manas Sarovar overflows in to lake Rakshastal which is a salt-water endorheic lake. These lakes used to be part of the Sutlej basin and were separated due to tectonic activity.

India would never do such a thing- cos they are completely at the mercy of the Chinese- hydrology-wise.
