I remember helping one of my daddy's saradar colleague's son in folding the cotton cloth in alternate folds.
Those days, Bhaiya was staying at our place in Delhi for his entrance exams.

The right guy to ask this here would be @Abingdonboy

but hope this video helps

Ready made turbans are also available in the market, if im not wrong.

Brother, you usually don't just buy a cloth and make it into a turban. Turbans have a seam in the middle and are bought from a pagri shop.

As for material, most Jatt Sikhs wear Rubia cloth of 7-8 meters. Urban Sikhs usually have five turns of the turban, some rural Sikhs wear a longer turban and have six and wear like 10 metres. Bhapa Sikhs usually wear full voill cloth which is lighter and doesn't look as neat, it is also harder to tie. Exact size depends on the shape of your head, but you can always buy longer and then adjust the initial "pech" or turn. Shorter won't work obviously. I think safest is to buy 7.5 metres. Before you start tying the turban, you need to do pooni

I think your best bet may be to buy online from a store like this https://sardarpagrihouse.com/index.html

Or I bet Nankana Sahib might have some turban shops in your area.
