Can a country (China, India) accused of genocide be allowed to host Olympics?

Only two countries bidded for 2020 winter Olympic games, one was China, the other one was Kazakhstan, and China won. it's the Olympic committee begging China to host the games, otherwise no one likes to take it. let India do it.

. .
So you are saying USA is not powerful enough compare to China to stop Olympic hosting?
The interesting item is that the Games is awarded to a CITY, not a country. Of course, the country would do anything to get approval for the city, so essentially, the hosting is awarded to the country.

Financially and on the infrastructure front, China meets all the criteria to host the Games. However, if the committee does not approve a hosting site for ANY reason, China cannot call the event 'The Olympic Games'. China can call on allies, few as they are, and host some kind of athletics event and call it anything, but not 'The Olympic Games'.
Rich and mighty coming from a nation which exists because of genocide.
North America used to have different race of humans in 1400s , I wonder what happened to them.
If you want to use historical sins as a critical factor in granting the Games, then no country would qualify.

People, Countries, and Governments change. We assess and JUDGE countries based on their behaviors TODAY, not what happened even if the sin was committed in the current generation.

(CNN)The United States' determination that China is committing genocide in Xinjiang presents a rare moral predicament for athletes and countries preparing to compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Outgoing US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made the announcement on the last day of the Trump administration, drawing attention to the systematic abuse of the minority Uyghur population in China's far west.
The designation is the first by the US State Department since 2016, when then Secretary of State John Kerry determined that the atrocities committed by ISIS in Iraq and Syria amounted to genocide, and only among a handful of times a US administration has applied the term to an ongoing crisis.

Hasn't stopped the US or EU from engaging with India now has it?

Why hasn't the ICC or the Commonwealth refused to hold any events in India, or censured India over Indian atrocities and demographic genocide in Indian Occupied J&K, and over India's continued refusal to implement UNSC Resolutions on resolving the J&K dispute?
Why not ?

didn’t the Americans commit genocide against red Indians?
The correct term would be 'Native Americans'.

'Red Indians' would be considered a pejorative (offensive) term.

Can a country (USA, India) known for genocide and attempted genocide be allowed to just throw out dangerous false accussations to justify its lawless and immoral behavior imposed on others in first place?

I guess the answer will be exceptionalism and deflection as usual.

Spanish and Portuguese killed them. Spain's New World Empire 1492, Conquest of Paradise.

Those who decide where the modern so called Olympics are held will decide who gets the Olympics. If some disagree they can hold their own kind of games.

No entity known as "Indian Occupied J&k" exists - internationally the term used is Indian Administered Kashmir. You can write to various international forums about these allegations. First step would be for Pakistan to withdraw from ICC and the Commonwealth if your country believes this to be true. If they continue to actively participate in these events, then I guess even your own nation doesn't believe this line.

You are correct - the term is Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir from the Pakistani perspective.

You can argue the semantics of the names used all you want, the fact remains that India continues to forcibly occupy J&K and continues to refuse to implement UNSC Resolutions calling for a UN led plebiscite in the territory while perpetrating atrocities on the Kashmiris and now putting in place a demographic genocide.

The first step remains continuing to educate the world about India's brazen violations of the UNSC Resolutions on J&K, the same UNSC that India is begging, groveling, whining and crying to be made a permanent member of. The world must continue to be educated and informed about the atrocities and the horrors perpetrated on the Kashmiris by the Indian State. Pakistan withdrawing or not withdrawing from ICC, FIFA, Commonwealth or Olympic events does nothing - the world must continue to be reminded of Indian atrocities and occupation until it acts.

That's why I used the term internationally used. I know the narratives of India (Union Territory) and Pak. Point being neither of these views is internationally accepted.

Actually, withdrawing from sporting events sends a strong message. India refused to go South Africa for a Davis Cup final which it was a favorite for. The cricketing world boycotted South Africa.

The world, not one single country, unless of course we're talking about the United States or all of the EU.

That kind of economic and geo-political clout, of a single country impacting events, is limited to a few countries.

anyone can declare another country committing "genocide", except no other country or UN recognizes American "declaration". Isn't US also genociding blacks?
