Hello Guys.

With the energy crises looming over in Pakistan and the situation not getting better any time soon, I want to look at the possibilities of getting a solar powered generator of like 5 kVA.

Can anybody suggest a company that is making these and supplying for the household? Or will I have to import one? I don't want to experiment so I will be looking for a renowned and an experienced company..

Your help shall be appreciated.

. . .
will be very expensive...

at first but later it will pay him off for decades...plus he will get tax exemptions from municipal corporation and they also give loan with less interest rates for such things..

I'm not sure if i will get tax exemptions in Pakistan, will check it though.

I heard that it is expensive but how much?

Why don't you consider using wind energy in conjunction with Solar energy? Its much more cost effective.
Actually work backwards and try to minimise the connected load. The easiest area to tackle will be the lighting load. Switch to CFLs or better still to LEDs. Also if you are using electricity for heating, switch to Solar for that. If you use Electricity for cooling, then try to modify the construction elements of your home to minimise the requirements. All of that goes a great way to cut costs.

Per unit? I thought it provides free electricity once it is installed? :what:

He is talking about installation costs. It only gets amortized over some time.

i think you want to do something like this?

I'm considering all my options but the situation I am in, it seems that the solar power is the only solution for the time being.

I'm telling you from the consumer end, and that Rs 12 is the govt substituted price here. If you're planning for your own solar power facility, prices will be around 30-40% higher. And add the cost of battery maintenance and replacement (every 4-5 years) with that cost.

What company is that ? Can you send me a link?

there was a user on PDF who was running a business of solar pannels.
he used to spam the forum with solar pannel related threads...
if you run a search.you may find his threads and he may give you a quote.
