We have 3 guys... 1 for the dogs..1 for the birds n the sweeper who cleans the cages...

The best bird is falcon... sadly ours died a few weeks back... its a marvelous bird.... they are found in our region... hunters capture em and sell them to middle men who sell them to arabs... bloody crooks.

how much do they usually sell for??

it should be illegal to lay even a hand on them. they are too special

same goes with the buzzards......that may be one of the only few things the PPP government did --ban the licenses (probably it still goes on, under the table)

The price depends on their species n their size(wings n other factors etc) anywhere frm 3 lac-20 or above... the hunter gets a fraction of them sum though..

As for the licenses provincial govt also has to be blamed...

.
Is it not cruelty to keep such birds as pet. It promotes capturing of more birds.
Why not keep a domesticated animal like cat or dog.

I know why the caged bird sings
By: Maya Angelou

A free bird leaps on the back of the wind
and floats downstream till the current ends
and dips his wing in the orange suns rays and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage
can seldom see through his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill
for the caged bird sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill
for the caged bird sings of freedom.

Sympathy
By: Paul Laurence Dunbar

I KNOW what the caged bird feels, alas!
When the sun is bright on the upland slopes;
When the wind stirs soft through the springing grass,
And the river flows like a stream of glass;
When the first bird sings and the first bud opes,
And the faint perfume from its chalice steals —
I know what the caged bird feels!

I know why the caged bird beats his wing
Till its blood is red on the cruel bars;
For he must fly back to his perch and cling
When he fain would be on the bough a-swing;
And a pain still throbs in the old, old scars
And they pulse again with a keener sting —
I know why he beats his wing!

I know why the caged bird sings, ah me,
When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore,—
When he beats his bars and he would be free;
It is not a carol of joy or glee,
But a prayer that he sends from his heart's deep core,
But a plea, that upward to Heaven he flings —
I know why the caged bird sings!

great dogs......they are playfully aggressive at times

as pups, even if they poop on your leather recliner you couldnt be angry with them; they are too cute

Yep I can definitely vouch for that. I clip his nails regularly. They are full of energy and need regular exercise.

When I take him to the park he literally drags me after him, I am thinking of investing in a sledge and use him as a reindeer:lol:

Eagles, falcons and such are just as loyal as dogs. Even if you let them free they will come back to you. If you want to start with something less intimidating I suggest Sparrow Hawks, which are a pleasure to have.
