As with the norm in Pakistan, the criminal beats the accuser when caught red handed. Although this case involves working class butchers, this is normally the case with Pakistan's urban upper middle class which starts crying out against others when caught flouting and breaking the law.

The butchers of Dhoke Chaudhrian on Saturday badly thrashed the general manager of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Slaughterhouse and two police constables, accompanying him, and later allegedly kept them in their illegal custody for about an hour.
The butchers took the action against the raiding team when they were seizing unhygienic meat. A heavy contingent of Airport Police Station reached the spot and arrested the retaliating butchers and also took the unhygienic meat in their custody.
The incident occurred in Pakki Galli Mohallah of Dhoke Chaudhrian. The police have registered a case under Sections 17, 18, 141 and 342 against the butchers identified as Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Shahzad, Muhammad Akash and Muhammad Younas.
Rawalpindi-Islamabad Slaughterhouse General Manager Dr Muhammad Shahbaz Anjum told The News that he got information about selling of unhygienic meat in Dhoke Chaudhrian. Accordingly, a team including two constables, a driver and an assistant were formed. The team when reached the spot where butchers were selling unhygienic meat that was brought from Jhang.
The meat was without government stamp and also permeating smell consequently, I asked the police officials to take the meat into their custody. But, dozens of butchers attacked us and later locked us in a room. After closing the shatter they started beating us, he said.
The butchers after putting us under the lock left the room then I informed the Airport Police Station through my cell phone. The Airport Police officials reached on the spot after 20 minutes and get us freed, he said. All the butchers ran away from the scene, however, police managed to arrest them from different areas and also seized the unhygienic meat, he said.
When The News contacted Airport Police Station, the duty officer informed that they have registered a case against the butchers according to Slaughter Control Act 1963 Sections 17, 18 and 141 and also imposed Section 342 for keeping the officials in illegal custody.
The locals of Dhoke Chaudhrian near Pakki Galli Mohallah told The News that butchers were selling unhygienic meat at higher prices. We have moved several applications against the butchers. The locals have appreciated the local governments action against butchers and demanded of the authorities to conduct raids against the butchers selling unhygienic meat.
