Will we be ever blessed by leaders who can somehow overcome the issues between us, and become economically vibrant countries?

Why blame hindu rajas alone? The British got enough support from Muslims nawabs and rajas too. Communal ideology clouds rationality.

For every Ranjit Singh, Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan, Peshwa, who fought the english you also had the Ranas of Rajputana, Nizam of Hyderabad, Khans of Baloshistan, Nawab of Bahawalpur or Gulab Singh of Kashmir who sided with the english for their greed.

They are taking advantage, but the people not coming towards a settlement on Kashmir are not the western powers.
