‘Buddhist heritage circuit’ in India to get max attention

. . . .
Then their was no INDIA , India was represented as sub-continent only not country:police::police:

It was full of empires that unite our common culture.

This brand of extreme nationalism in your country is only dividing us despite everything being common.

Bhai, We are talking about tourism circuits and its mismanagement.

What has nepal to do with this?

. .
Buddha was born in nepal - agreed !!! But buddhism originated in India . Buddha's parents were indians anyway , so that makes him indian

India is more modern term. So is Nepal. Therefore one has to assume that Buddhas parents also were Nepalese.

. .
Indians are normally Hindu not Bhuddist isn't it?
How many Bhuddist in India now?

My friend said that Bhuddist cannot be famous in India because Bhuddist will see Dalit class equals to high class, which is unacceptable in India. Indian friend can you please explain?

Yes. That's when High class will avoid convert to Bhuddhism. In long run, Bhuddist are all dalits. Then there will be no resource to support Bhuddism, since resource are on the hands of higher class.?? (Please clarify)

I'm not really sure.. There maybe high caste Buddhist's as well.. A clarification preferrably from a Indian Buddhist here will be more prudent.. I'm a Christian of Sri Lankan origin

That's wrong, Buddhism is very special for us.

There were sixteen states at that time in JambuDhweepa (old Indian term). Kapilavastu was situated at Shakya state. Therefore Lord Buddha was a Shakyan.

Kapilavastu wasn't one of those 16 Mahajanapadas, it was a small kingdom. Jambudweepa is one of the ancient names of India.

Many tribes in Himalayas practice Tibetan Buddhism, after independence there was a revival of Buddhism who are now called neo-Buddhists and the conversion is not just confined to Dalits, since the Hindus see Buddhism with special respect people has no problem when people converts to Buddhism.

Earliest reference of the name 'India' is by Herodotus 440BC.

Herodotus (440 BC)
"Eastward of India lies a tract which is entirely sand. Indeed, of all the inhabitants of Asia, concerning whom anything is known, the Indians dwell nearest to the east, and the rising of the Sun."

Megasthenes (300 BC)
"India then being four-sided in plan, the side which looks to the Orient and that to the South, the Great Sea compasseth; that towards the Arctic is divided by the mountain chain of Hēmōdus from Scythia, inhabited by that tribe of Scythians who are called Sakai; and on the fourth side, turned towards the West, the Indus marks the boundary, the biggest or nearly so of all rivers after the Nile."

Sir, you are wrong. I am a Buddhist and I am ethnic Nepali. Majority of Buddhists in India live in NE India on border with Nepal. Buddhism is growing really fast in India.

In my personal opinion Atheism or Buddhisms is best for India,Hinduism in it's current form needs more time to evolve & do you have a link for that claim that low caste are converting to It & it is fastest growing religion in India.
